We had a yard sale a couple of weeks ago.....and we didn't do too badly, all things considered. We set up Rachel's little table and let her sell lemonade. She was quite the entrepreneur....she'd often ask people if they wanted a drink. It boded well for her that it was quite hot out....made that 4C brand lemonade (or limonada as some called it) look really good! Rachel made at least 8 bucks for her minimal efforts (she helped mix the first batch of lemonade, and the rest was up to mommy to ensure was concocted and cold).
We plan on taking her to Barnes & Nobles to buy a book w/ her own money. We decided to do this after she asked if we could go into Barnes & Nobles and have me give them money for a book. I then explained that maybe we would use her proceeds from her piggy bank and her yard sale to purchase a book. She then said, "Let's buy all of the books!" I guess something got lost in my little lesson.
She so wanted her beads to be in the picture. Ben told her to put the beads down, and the last minute, she snuck it in there:-) It's hard to correct when it looks this cute:-)
