Saturday stroll along the GW Parkway

We decided to try out the walking/biking path along the George Washington Parkway. We've always seen people along the path and it looks like they are always having a good time. Figuring it was a beautiful 72 degrees and we have been living down here for over 2 years, it seemed like a great idea. Little did we know, about 1,000 other people thought it would be a great idea also. At times it felt like we were roadblocks for a Tour De France/NYC Marathon warm-up race on the Daytona Speedway.

Regardless, we persevered and introduced Rachel to the history of DC. She slept the whole time, so it doesn't look like she will be a History major.

We also saw President Bush in his helicopter (possibly). If you look closely, you can see him waving at us.
